Just Be You

I had another graduation card to make and decided to make this one a little different from the typical "congratulations" cards I have been making. I got the idea when I was looking at the Bitten by the bug 2 challenge for this week. I also decided to use the layout from Mojo Monday to complete the card. I enjoyed making this card and I hope my niece will like it. I used Sentimentals for the bee and the scallop tag. I used Paisley for the sentiment. The inside is a vellum sticker I had in part of my neverending stash. The yellow border is from a Fiskars border punch and the green ribbon is from Paper Studio. The yellow border looks crooked to me. I didn't realize it when I took the picture. It's not crooked on the card, but it is in the picture. I think it might be because I had the card open so it would stand up on its own. I am gonna have to rethink that idea.

Let's Do Lunch!

I created this card to send to a friend I don't get to see very often. Hopefully we can get together for lunch soon. I used Everyday Paper Dolls for the basket and the sun. I used Paisley for the turtles. You can't really tell in the picture but the body is a light green and the shell is yellow. I used the yellow thinking it would go good with the red "tablecloth" paper. I will be entering this card in this week's Cricuter's Anonymous Challenge.

Fantabulous Cricut and Charisma Cardz Challenges

I have been wanting to create this card since I got this paper. The paper is from DCWV "The Sweet Stack". I love this paper. The flower is cut from Walk in My Garden and the butterfly is cut from Sentimentals. I used pearls for the body and antenna of the butterfly. The ribbon is from The Paper Studio and the sentiment was one I had in my neverending stash of stickers. I will be entering this card in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge for this week and also in the Charisma Cardz Challenge.

Brown Headed Nuthatch Scrap Page

This is another page in Troy's bird scrapbook. This little brown-headed nuthatch is a regular to our feeders in the backyard. I used Base Camp to do the lettering on this page. I will also be entering it in the Fantabulous Challenge for this week.

Blue Bird Scrap Page

This double page spread is for my husband's bird scrapbook. He loves his birds and taking pictures of them. Unfortunately the lighting is not very good and the flash left a glare on the pictures. It is a cloudy day here and I am having trouble finding enough natural light. I will also be entering these pages in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge for this week.

Scrap Time

I had this layout in mind and decided to scrap it before it got away from me. My baby is growing so fast. It is hard to believe he is already over a year old. I have a lot of catching up to do in his scrapbook. I used Sentimentals for the frame, Wild Card for the sentiment, and Paper Doll Dress Up for the moon. I love this Anna Griffin Paper. The background paper is actually embossed. It is hard to tell in the photo, it looks better in real life.

SPCC Challenge #44 and Fantabulous Challenge # 6

I created this card with the SPCC Color Challenge in mind. I have also been wanting to use this owl on a card so I decided to combine the two. The colors aren't very traditional for an owl, but that's what I like about it. I used Sentimentals for the entire card. I really like that cartridge. I will also be entering this card in this week's Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #6. I actually have several entries for that particular challenge this week. What can I say, I love birds and butterflies.

Wedding Card for Kerstyn

I created this card for my neice who is getting married in May. I used Wild Card for the rings then used Sentimentals for the sentiment and scallop. I added a clear stone to the ring and a pearl button drop from my endless stash to complete the embellishments. Congratulations Kerstyn! I also used the layout from Mojo Monday to create this card.

Happy Birthday, Uncle Gene

I created this card for my Uncle Gene's surprise birthday party. Sometimes it is difficult to create men's themed cards, but the chocolate color seemed to work out well. I used Sentimentals to create the card, Beyond Birthdays for the sentiment, and Opposites Attract for the name on the envelope.

Graduation Cards

I created these two graduation cards for some girls at church. I used Hello Kitty Greetings and Beyond Birthdays for the sentiment. I made the cards just a little different. We will be honoring our graduations Sunday, May 2nd at church and I wish to congratulate both Jessica and Jennifer and wish them the best for their future.
